In my native Pennsylvania, bridges were "Memorial" bridges named for someone distinguished, but deceased. Those deceased folks have very little chance to cause us to be embarrassed enough to want to rename a bridge or a road. My guess is that Jimmy Buffett probably won't embarrass us, but whatever happened to Richard Scrushy Blvd. in the Birmingham area?
