"Southern Harmony" is one of the greatest albums ever in the history of rock. The most depressing thing about the Crowes is that radio only knows two songs: "She Talks to Angels" and "Hard to Handle." SOMETIMES, they'll bust out with "Remedy," but where is "Sometimes Salvation" and "Conspiracy?" There should be a fucking law.

Totally a bullshit move by Maxim. Besides, I think the new song “Daughters of the Revolution” hearkens back to the “Southern Harmony” album pretty nicely. Glad to see them back making music. I guess we can thank Owen Wilson for running off with Chris Robinson’s wifey.

It would sure made a great publicity stunt, to stage a fake/bad review. I'm not saying these guys did it but you can't buy that kind of buzz. After everyone is through being mad at Maxim . . sales are sure to rise, you know, people checking to make sure they always get it right . . .

and I do miss Hunter's ultra-conservative observations on life. Remember he also said this:

"If I'd written all the truth I knew for the past ten years, about 600 people — including me — would be rotting in prison cells from Rio to Seattle today. Absolute truth is a very rare and dangerous commodity in the context of professional journalism."
